Mindful Thinking for Recovery Workshop {September 17 10am-5pm}

Recovery is so much more than putting down drugs and alcohol. We recover from behaviors, from shame, guilt, negative thinking and stress. We recover from chronic illness and cancer. We begin our recovery and we’re often left saying, now what? Or, how do I do this?

Mindfulness is tied to recovery because it’s literally defined as the quality or state of being conscious or aware of something. When we recover, we wake up. Accepting our emotions, thoughts, and bodily sensations can seem daunting especially without the crutch of alcohol and other drugs.

That’s why Tamera and I developed our one-day workshop Mindful Thinking for Recovery. We’re excited to offer it for the first time during recovery month here in Florida.

-Yoga for 12 Step Recovery practice
-Empowered journaling for recovery
-Meditation
-Kelly’s recovery story
-How to develop concrete constructive goals
-Rational self-analysis – how to ground yourself through affirmations and think through situations in order to make better choices and ultimately feel better.
