It is combined with and restructured from the Primary and Intermediate Series of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga as well as key postures from the 3 rd and 4 th advanced series of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga.

This class is a hybrid of yang (active yoga) with yin (passive yoga). We will begin with 30 minutes of gentle yoga to build strength, warmth and flow with fundamental yoga postures while relieving stress and tension by connecting breath with mindful movements. We will finish with yin (or passive yoga) to create flexibility, mindfulness and softness to release the connective tissues, create space and integrity in the joints and remove blockages to internal energy flow.

Great for new yogis, returning yogis and yogis recovering from an injury, MY BODY DON’T BEND THAT WAY is a gentle yoga class designed to enhance flexibility, balance, and strength.  With its focus on alignment and breath, this yoga practice is about honoring your body and appreciating its capabilities, however it bends. Modifications, hands-on assists and props are offered to ease your body into the fullest expression of each pose for you.

Works deeply into muscles and connective tissues through extended holds of grounded postures. These one-hour classes are great for those looking to restore flexibility and/or work deeply into joints and tissues that are “locked” up from past injuries or from repetitive motion.  Yin Yoga specifically targets the hips, pelvis and lower spine. The challenge from this class comes from staying deeply in a stretch for an extended period of time – going beyond the point of wanting to “give up”. The focus is less on strength building and more on restoration, de-stressing and relaxation. For many students, this is one of the most challenging yet totally relaxing experiences they have.

This all levels class includes a variety of poses and gentle floor work, followed by restorative postures and breathing techniques for rest and relaxation. A variety of props and modifications are used in this class to make all of the postures suitable for everyone. All students are encouraged to work at the level that feels right for them. This class is especially beneficial for those suffering from anxiety, stress and insomnia. Props and hands are used to help students to be comfortable and get the most out of their practice.
